It does so by exploring the multi-faceted nature of teaching - a discipline grounded in scientific research, an art requiring creativity, and a craft necessitating constant collaborative reflection and improvement"

BEYOND COMPREHENSION: Daniel Willingham argues that teaching comprehension strategies DOES improve children's understanding of texts. However, there is NO evidence that practicing these strategies leads to further gains in reading comprehension. Download here: ​beyond_comprehension.pdf
