The Readings

The Pre-Reading was: "Effective Teachers of Numeracy in Primary Schools: Teachers' Beliefs, Practices and Pupils' Learning", Askew, M,  Brown, M, Rhodes, V, Wiliams, D, Johnson, D. British Educational Research Association, 1997

There were also two short readings:
1. "Mathematical Connections and The Beauty of Mathematics" - collated extracts from works by authors Linda M Gojak and Jo Boaler, and
2. "Selecting and Creating Mathematical Tasks" - collated extracts from works by  Margaret Schwan Smith and Mary Kay Stein, and the National Council for Teachers of Mathematics.

Celebrations:
The network identified many aspects of the lessons and school environment to celebrate. A list was created.
