How are our teachers embedding explicit teaching strategies in their lessons?

  • Are we using effective questioning to check for understanding?
  • How is the teaching being adjusted in response to student understanding?​​

The Pre-Round Task

What is the most valuable piece of advice your team would offer Strathfield North to strengthen questioning to check for understanding and/or respond to students' needs?

Support your advice with relevant research or educational theorist (e.g., Dylan Wiliam, Anita Archer, John Hattie, Lyn Sharratt, Ron Ritchhart, Susan Brookhart etc.).

Complete this task collaboratively. To ensure involvement larger schools will deliver two pieces of advice.
